An Indepth Look Into A Geek's Soul

Alright guys, as some of you may know, tomorrow is the official launch of Pokemon Platinum in the United States.  Well, the official launch of the game  unless you live in New York City, in which case there's a good chance that you are playing the game right now.  Oh, how awesome it would be if the Pokemon Center existed in Traverse City instead of NYC.  Why it would exist there, I have not a damn clue, but I wish it did, and that should be good enough of a reason for anyone really.

It is interesting that I'm so excited about this game.  I have a version of Pokemon Diamond that I've gone through and defeated the Elite 4 in.  I have a copy of Pokemon Pearl that I've gone though and am currently not close to beating the Elite 4 in.  I have never bought a third copy of any Pokemon Generation before, so I'm not sure why I'm so excited about this one.  This generation took me the longest to really get into, seeing as how Pokemon Leaf Green is my favorite.  I've just been reading up about it for the last couple of months on Serebii.net (the place for the best Pokemon details in my humble opinion) and it just looks fantastic.  I think the fact that I can beat the game with a Magnezone is just cool.  He's easily my favorite electric type.

Plus, there's this chick in my Englsih 111 class named Ashley who I just found out plays Pokemon as well.  She just got into as a matter of fact.  That's pretty awesome if you ask me.  I know what you are thinking, "Hey, you're single now, aren't you Jon?  You should totally try to get some of that Pokemon playing ass."  Yeah, she has a boyfriend.  Shucks.  Oh well though, I can still try to swing her my way I suppose.  She how she'll take some subtle flirting with.  Nothing too serious.  After all, I'm not marriage material, not yet, and she's moved in with her boyfriend, so he can't be all bad.

Haha, me and my silly ideas.  I think I'll end it here for tonight though guys.  The NyQuil is kicking in (almost well again!)
